Message From The Principal

Dear Parents and Students:

I’m excited for the opportunity to be the new principal at Alloway Creek Elementary School.  I’ve been involved with education for over 28 years and love working with students, staff and parents.  I hope the summer has allowed you to enjoy time with family and friends.  The 2023-2024 school year is just around the corner and the staff has been working hard to prepare for student arrival.  The building has been cleaned and polished and the first day of school is August 24, 2023.

The staff are prepared for student arrival and look forward to working with each student to meet their individual needs.  To facilitate your child’s growth, teachers will be using the NWEA Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessment throughout the school year.  Over the 3 times for benchmark assessment teachers will review the data to help determine students learning levels and monitor their growth and progress.

Alloway Creek Elementary School uses multiple programs and instructional practices to meet the needs of each individual student.  We believe our mutual investment in children, staff, families and community will guarantee that our quality of life will continue to prosper throughout the educational journey.

We know a vital component of our school is the support of the parents and community.  Alloway Creek is fortunate to have parent volunteers who donate their time working with students and sponsored school activities.  Our PTO coordinates activities throughout the school year.  We welcome parents to assist us during these events.  We realize the vast importance of parent involvement in student success, so we thank you in advance for your active involvement.

We look forward to an outstanding school year and thank you again for the continued support.

Sincerely,

Joel Moran

Principal
